It's funny that one of the symbols is indeed a dog tied up lol.

I always play Alley Cats for small bets of $0.36 only for reasons that I use this to encourage a slightly better balance for when I am near the $10 amount! Now that I think about it, the video slot Spike's Nite Out has the same concept except a cat is tied in place of a dog so these two slots must be in war with each other! When playing Alley Cats they pay with symbols a lot with 2 cats. It's always the cat on the fence and the grey cat holding pins that show up every time.

The weird paylines creating an "M" and a "W" shape actually correspond well with the combinations....surprisingly. Even for a small $0.36 my returns range to about $17 or less during a feature and I must say this is good enough for 4 coins.

The theme and the graphics of the game are good and the sound effects are suiting.

The pays are not bad and some of the symbols mix together providing a player with a win. The game also has a bonus and the free spins feature. Both of them are awarded when player is given three or more Strikes from left to right and are given randomly to the player. They are both interesting and very enjoyable to play, but not always produce good wins. I would also add that for me personally the game paid better on higher bets, so give it a try.

There are all kinds of kitty symbols there but somehow they look scary. There is a white cat, a gray cat holding pins, creepy smiling brown and black cat and one scared black kitten.

The strike symbol is the scatter symbol in this game and if you land 3 or more scatters starting from the first reel you will win pay out. 3 or more scatters also activate the bonus feature or the free spins. In this game the free spins are randomly triggered if you get 3 or more scatters. You get 20 free spins and the payouts are x 2. The only downfall here is that the free spins cannot be retriggered. The bonus feature is also randomly triggered if 3 or more bonus symbols appear. When the bonus feature is activated you will be taken away on another window. There you will see 6 different items and you need to show your best bowling skills to win a prize. You have to choose only 3 out of the 6 items and each of them hides a prize.

And some of these mother cats simply cannot refuse tender loving strokes from my hand! Hahaha. They would run to me whenever they see me, for their 'Whiskas' of course, or they would wait patiently at my car porch for me to return home whenever I have to go out and buy things. Not even house-trained, just alley cats, but smart cats, hehehe.

This Alley Cats is yet another old 9-paylines game, and I was attracted to try it out just because it was all about cats. Hmm, looks like I'm a real sucker for females and felines! Stroke them enough and they would go all over me! Hahaha. That Alley Cats logo is the Wild symbol, 5 of which pays 10,000x the line bet. That 'STRIKE' is the Scatter symbol, 5 of which pays 100x the total bet. 3 or more Scatter symbols in succession on any payline randomly awards either a Bonus Feature game or a Free Spins game. The paytable also shows some variable winning combinations of cats, awarding varying win values, but the Trophy itself pays 2000x the line bet for 5 of them. All other cats and things pay from 1000x down to 125x the line bet. Generally, a pretty good paytable.

The Free Spins game offers 20 free spins with a 2x multiplier, which I only managed to get once, all the rest being awarded with the Bonus Feature games instead. In this game, the alley cat goes bowling! Can you believe that? Hmm, in cartoons, anything is possible, hehehe. You pick 3 items to throw the bowling ball at and win cash prizes for each of them. Not a lot of wins, but acceptable, usually around the 20x total bet amount. Maybe can be more, I don't know for sure, but less, I am very sure.

What I dislike the most is getting the bonus round. It doesn't pay well to bowl over objects and it's not worth getting. The 3 Strikes appearing left to right become very complex to land altogether and I really would appreciate it if most of Alley Cats mystery feature are mostly Free spins than the bonus round. 20 Free spins at 2x are more enjoyable than the Bowling round!

The other thing is the Strike symbols. There are times when it is impossible to get three of them from left to right. I can do 100 or 200 spins without the feature and think that the game would have been much, much better if you could get them scattered on all reels.

The feature itself is not always good and I myself prefer free spins better. They pay more and are more enjoyable, they also last longer and are completely random. Where the bonus game is a bit boring and has limited wins.

Over all an alright game but could have been much better. My rating 6 out of 10.

The thing that I did not like in this game is the bonus round. It does not pay very well, and sometimes it is very difficult to get 3 scatters at the same time to activate the free spins or the bonus itself. Maybe it was not one of my good days when I played this game, but I will give it another try in the future because still there are certain things that I liked in this game.

Most of the spins in the base game paid for 2-of-a-kind wins only, and anything more than that would come occasionally or even rarely. Very strange indeed, unlike most other games I've played so far! Paying 2-of-a-kinds are actually losing spins, so almost every payout cannot even cover your bet amount, and this is how the game would eat up your credits slowly. The Bonus Feature games usually don't pay back enough to boost back your balance, much less in trying to get big wins, even though the paytable does provide for such big win possibilities. Well, like I've said earlier on, in one of my reviews on a Microgaming game paytable, what you see is not what you may get! This, I don't like at all. Not one bit!
