Kindred agrees to climate change initiatives in the paris agreement

Kindred Group has agreed to cutting business travel by 30% to help meet the energy-saving goals set by the Paris Agreement on climate change.

The operator has agreed with the energy goals of the deal, which seeks to restrict global temperature increases to 2°C, with the goal of further restricting them to below 1.5°C.

Targets include the production of 100% renewable energy by 2023, where the Unibet-owned operator will, and the elimination of 85% of direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions by the same time, from a 2018 base year, in addition to limiting business travel.

The provider also pointed to the fact that it is an all-digital organization and science-based plans for lowering greenhouse gas emissions are expected to achieve the paris agreement's goals.

Our science-based carbon-reduction targets focus on cutting carbon emissions across our data centres, offices and business travel activities. They are also linked to our 2023 ambition to procure 100% of our electricity from renewable sources of energy where we can.”

Kindred Group announced an 8% year-on-year growth in gross gaming revenue (GGR) for H1 2020, to £484.8m ($627.4m) in July.
