Although giving some caution not to get close to the swarm of bees otherwise prepare to get stung and be in for some allergic reactions/symptoms! In this sweet honey of a slot, Honey To The Bee has saves my as* twice when my balance went to a terrible loss from Naughty Or Nice and Mice Dice. I had $8 left and I went to discover this slot had given me a chance...a 2nd chance! Surprisingly, it gave out a feature which, by reading the paytable, is hard like the feature found on Caesar's Empire. HTTB has the same rules for triggering free spins but rather gaining coins and a coliseum, it's a Worker Bee (it's Wild) anywhere on the first 4 reels and the Hive scatter to the last of the reel (5th reel). I gained $18 through my 2 coin bets after completing a balance saving 15 Free spins at 2x! On a $1 bet I hit $31.60 total. Plenty of Wild Worker Bees are what I like to see since they always put 2x on my combinations. I have never seen 5 Honeycomb scatters yet but when I do get very lucky I will be rewarded by them! By playing this slot, it has been a pleasure to receive a small to medium win that gave me a 2nd chance to throw money in slots again!

The pretty blue-eyed chick, err, I mean, Bee, is the Wild symbol, it doubles all wins and pays 5000 x the line bet for 5-of-its-kind. The Hive is the Scatter symbol and pays 100 x total bet, which is very low. Other symbols? Just as low too. 1 star down.

Okay, there’s only 1 feature game, as expected from any oldie RTG game, the free spins feature game. Get the blue-eyed Bee anywhere on reels 1, 2, 3 or 4, and get the Hive on reels 5, and you’ve won 15 free spins with a 2 x win multiplier. Easier said than done though. The Hive doesn’t always appear on reel 5, in contrast to the hardworking blue-eyed worker bee that frequently pops up on the reels. A 3 x win multiplier would have been a much better offering for the free spins game. 1 star down.

In play, I must say that this game, Honey to the Bee, was a relaxing and enjoyable game to play. It wasn’t credit-hungry as in some games, there was plenty of small wins to keep my bankroll going yo-yo on and off, the free spins feature games are not that so far apart, and an extended period of game play can always be expected. Nevertheless, any game that plays as easy as Honey to be Bee, always lack the punches, or the oomph. Throughout the game, it was practically paying out within the same range of win amounts, with hardly anything big or interesting occurring. Several of the free spins game that I’d won paid out 20 x – 25 x my total bet amount. Nothing more. Only in 1 game I got a retrigger, but with that total of 30 free spins, the payout was only about 65 x my bet amount. The Wild Bee doesn’t expand, nor does it comes stacked, so there’s just no way to get really good wins from this game. Even if with several retriggers during the free spins game, I doubt if anything bigger than 250 x the total bet can be achieved. The low paytable just doesn’t support it. Honey to the Bee is fun to play but not fun to win. 1 star down.

It would have to be hit the same way I gotten it in the first place. Also, hitting a wild anywhere almost always makes the reel roll for no scatters during my base game so I know I will be completely annoyed to see this everytime! (seeing the last reel roll for a hive then.....nothing)
