As I’m not really satisfied with this segment of the game there must be any part of it that deserve to play with and luckily it has.

This 20-payline product is really feature rich even though it doesn’t possess free spins. Firstly, this game is a Progressive Jackpot game but it’s not a randomly given main prize we have to work hard for it. To have a chance to win it the way leads through the Showdown Bonus game. If a Cowboy figure appears on the first reel and a Bandit King in the last position we get an entry to bonus. There our hero has to face Bandit King and his gang and shoot them down to regain the stolen loot on the day of reckoning. We can choose between the auto shoot or play it manually and bring as many bad guy down as we can until at last we must kill the leader bandit. After we successfully shoot him and he drops his bag if 3 Diamonds come visible we win the Jackpot. It’s a really great and very entertaining side game. I like very much this bonus scene with saloon, bank and other wooden constructions and great design and good story.

But if Bandit King doesn’t arrive while Cowboy is on the screen we don’t give up the chance for any gun fight because if any bandits land anywhere on the reels another little bonus is triggered. The reel that contains the bandit is starting moving up and down and the good guy has to shoot him down. If he misses the target no prize rewarded but if bandit is shot 4 times of total bet is credited. Of course there is a chance for more bandits at the same reel, so every other gunfight may mean more money we can collect. For example, if all 4 reels bring an enemy and the cowboy can kill all of them would award us 200 times of total bet.

Though no free spins here but the Scatter activates another bonus named Prospector Scatter. Here we have to help our old buddy to where he must dig to find gold and if we select the right location on a map we can win instant money prize. There are 3 selections if 3 Prospector land on reels in base game and every successful digging means x5 of total bet, but like the other bonus if more such figure arrives more multiplier value is involved and the max. award of this side game is 200 times of total bet. Bull acts as a Wild and can pay the second best prize of the game after Jackpot which is 10.000 coins and the slot also offers a decent gambling feature opportunity with the common colours/suits system.

Ash Gaming really made a very great product with this slot. It’s very entertaining with lot of very nice features and high potential and relatively good payout percentage ratio. I only wish the whole view of the slot would fit my taste better and I think at that case this game would get all of my well-deserved appreciations for enjoyment it can give for me.

In Gold Rush Downdown the smaller details are for WIld bulls that appear often on any reel. I could say they are about the same encounter rate as the Wilds found under Microgaming slot Moonshine. They don't contain a multiplier but as they are frequently occurring on reels, it is well enough to dismiss it as "slightly above satisfactory". The payouts appear to range on a small to large pay ratio where I would have the smallest and medium sized wins of $0.10 for my $1 bets, $0.40 wins, my returning $1, 5x my bet on a spin with 5 bags of gold and around an $8 win being one of my highest main game win. The fate of each win will depend on how many symbols I can collect on a payline so the winnings are unpredictable and very random!

Now I can't say it has the ability to win a big bunch because there is never something like this when I played Gold Rush Showdown but....in the feature more than a normal bonus win can be expected! The obvious win on a average bonus is commonly known for about $20 but that's the least to be expected in the Showdown bonus game. This bonus can have a two faced personality! It requires skill to shoot bandits onscreen and in the final part, major luck to find the correct gems to hit the progressive pot! Each bandit shot gives me $2 but it is recommended to shoot as much as possible to get the most out of winnings. The conclusion is just a clip to see the cowboy shoot the Bandit King while the camera zooms to see what he dropped from the bag. Gold, rubies, emeralds, diamonds etc. can be found. They are completely random each trigger to award a mysterious win! I usually win $23 - $40 on a $1 bet if I come across this bonus assuming I'm able to shoot all bandits and find high valued gems in the bag the Bandit king drops as he gets shot by the Cowboy. The only worst part to expect this bonus is it can be an annoying b1t*h to trigger because it needs the Cowboy on Reels 1 and the Bandit King to appear on Reel 5 both altogether!

There are small mini features that gives me the chance to win smaller than the bonus. When the Cowboy appears on Reel 1 while there are bandits (Banditos) anywhere on the reels the cowboy will try to shoot each bandit that occurs while the reels move in transition up and down to avoid the Cowboy's crosshairs. If I get a landing hit on a bandit I win a small amount of credits, if a miss I walk away win a loss for no credits after a $1 spin. The other feature worth mentioning is the Prospector bonus round where landing 3 prospectors grants 3 picks on a map to find gold nuggets. Each time I choose a spot to dig up I get gold nuggets worth $5 a spot or black coal for no credits. All the time $10 is what I win for 2 correct picks....but.....$15 should I get all 3 picks right! Yeah Baby Yeah! Too many mixed whirlwind of thoughts on Gold Rush Showdown including my persistence to trigger the bonus many times to never find 3 diamonds for the jackpot. It's just too delicious to think about and way too fun to give up.

Ultimately, Gold Rush Showdown rises to the occasion of 8.5 out of 10! My fingers are really enthusiastic for those 3 diamonds, hopefully I would be the lucky b@st*&dto claim the progressive!

The slot can be played in Amaya casinos and for 20 paylines the minimum bet is 1 Euro (5 cents/line).

There are two main drawbacks of this slot: it has a very old fashioned graphics (from the time of my grandparents) and generally it offers too small wins. Otherwise, as theme and features the slot is good enough. The theme of the slot is the gold rush, and here you will find the classic characters from the Wild West: the Cowboy, the Bandit, the Gold seeker, the Gun, the Sheriff badge, the Bull and the Horse. Well, maybe even more symbols than these, which is actually quite rare for a slot with only 20 paylines. Yet, despite the large number of symbols, winning combinations happen quite frequently, but as I said, the total payout in most cases is small or very small. Therefore in my opinion the slot eats fast enough the player money and only with a few hundred Euros one can play here a lot. And who will invest a few hundred Euros in a slot having such weak graphics?

In terms of the features it offers the slot is pretty good. The first feature is triggered by the simultaneously presence of the cowboy on the left reel and of the bandit on the right reel. The cowboy will try to shoot the bandit automatically and in case of success a payout (2-4 Euros) will be offered. The second feature happens when cowboy is on a left reel and the Bandit King on a right reel. An entire bonus game is triggered in automatic or manual mode (the cowboy needs to shoot as many bandits as possible and at the final the Bandit King). Playing in automatic mode I obtained a total payout of 20 Euro. Finally a third feature is triggered by 3 Gold seekers. On a separate map the player will need to choose 3 places to look for gold. If the gold is found in that place than it offers a payout. In total the win is again around 4-8 Euro here.

In terms of the game played the slot is great, but due to some very poor graphics and low wins it might be better to avoid playing here.
