The Flintstones was based on a stone-age family that made its debut on American television in 1960. During its six season run it captured the attention and hearts of children and adults alike. The audience somehow related to the prehistoric working class lifestyle, laughed at the antics of Fred and Barney and adored wives Wilma and Betty.
