Why name it a zombies game, only FUGASO knows, and the only zombies you'll find in the game are the two dead ones in the foreground scenario. Whenever that one zombie comes back to life, the hero axes it down again. Oh gees! Hahaha.
Everything else about this game is similar, if not identical, to Gonzo's Quest. It plays with 20 paylines. The Wild symbol, the Question Mark, doesn't pay anything for itself, appears only on reels 1, 2 and 3, and substitutes for all symbols. The Scatter symbol is the Bonus Box, also a non-paying symbol, and triggers 10 free boxes with Increasing Multipliers of 3x up to 15x. Getting 3 more Bonus Boxes during the free boxes play triggers 10 more free boxes. In the base game, this multiplier is from 1x up to 5x. If you're wondering what those free boxes are, they are nothing more than free spins, and each successive win is called a 'Help', and increases the Multiplier by one level up. Don't even try to ask me why the terms 'Box' and 'Help' is used in this game, hahaha.
The symbols used are all paraphernalia associated with a zombie attack - weapons, first-aid box, Jerry-tank for fuel and pain-killers. No, no dancing zombies, no zombie-nurses, no survivors - not like the game Lost Vegas. I would have loved this Fear The Zombies game more if beautiful icons like those in Lost Vegas were used instead, but never mind. Nonetheless, the symbols used are way too simplistic and basic, and could certainly use much better ones to make the game more attractive and interesting. Okay, so FUGASO guys are still new at it, so let's hope they will do better in the future.
If you love Gonzo's Quest, you probably won't love this game, hahaha. Why? Well, to put it very bluntly, the game graphics doesn't excite at all, except for that guy axing that zombie on and off, and the overall game play needs more interesting touches. Cloning a game is one thing, but making a good game out of it is something else. Anyway, I can't complain much for now, to be fair to these FUGASO guys, but I hope that Fear The Zombies could and would come up with good wins. I couldn't get them with my one and only play on the game, but if Gonzo's Quest is a comparison, then this game should be able to do well too, despite its lower graphics quality.
