Back in the days when I played often in casinos run by Rival this was one of my favorite games and I spent dozens of hours playing. The main reason why I liked this game so much was probably because it has for a theme Australia. I like this continent very much and the combination of a few large cities and vast bare lands of untouched nature. In this game you will find a lot of symbols that represent Australia like : The crocodile, Kangaroo, The native Australian symbol, Boomerang and my favorite symbol an empty can of beer.

I guess that the citizens of Australia love that drink as much as I do. That could be another reason why I like Australia so much. But let's get back to the game. Even though this is a slot with only 15 paylines you can have some fantastic wins in the free spins bonus round. You can win up to 100 free spins, if you get 5 scatter symbols ( Agoriginal ) on all 5 reels. That happened to me personally a few times and the feeling is incredible when you win a bonus round with 100 free spins. Off course that doesn't happen often and most of the time you will win 10 or 20 free spins, again depending of the number of scatter symbols you get.

Overall Diamonds Downunder is a fun slot game that I recommend to everyone. I'm sure that you will like this game very much but I have to warn you that Rival casinos have a bad reputation and you have to face the fact that you will wait for some time for some eventual cash out. think that basically these two games are the same only the theme is different.

This game for a theme has Australia an its habitats. I think the movie Crocodile Dundee had some effect on the designers of the game because I’m sure he appears as a symbol here. From the rest of the symbols you can see a Pickaxe which is the Wild, Aboriginal which is scatter and the rest is Australia's wildlife. Koalas, crocodiles, geckos and kangaroos. The overall graphic of the game is I would say moderate at best. Not many attention has been paid to details and the overall effect of this game is a vintage look. Like most 15 payline Rival slots this game has small to medium wins during base play. The highest paying symbol is the wild and you can only hope for 5 of a kind of these here. I have to say that I have never had a win here that was bigger than 20 x bet during base play.

There are two main features in this game. The free spins and a pick up bonus. If you get 3 map symbols on the reels you will be taken to a diamonds mine and you have to pick 3 locations. Everyone reveals a prize and wins are multiplied by total bet. If you get 3 scatters you will be awarded 10 free spins with x 3 multiplier. The graphic and sound aren't bad and this game left and overall positive impression on me. I probably spent hundreds of hours playing this game and I enjoyed it the whole time.

The theme with this game is Australia and the diamonds. I think that in this far away country for us Europeans there are a lot of diamond and jewel mines. In my time spent on this game I have had some dozens maybe hundreds of 100 x bet wins and more. This game can be very generous at times and in myopinion it is a very predictable game. It is possible that because of the long time spent on this game I can almost every time predict when I need to raise my bet. Diamonds Downunder gave me a lot of enjoyment and money. Off course there have been some disappointments here and sometimes I would loose a lot of money but I think that when I put it all together I am in a big plus with this game. In this game there are 2 bonus rounds. For 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols you can win 10, 20 or 100 free spins. I have gotten 100 free spins several times here. It is always a fascinating feeling. Also this free spins bonus can be re-triggered. The other bonus is a pick up bonus which starts with a short movie and you have 7 maps with an x under which there are cash prizes. You get to click on so many maps corresponding to the number of map symbols you got.

This is a very interesting game that you have to try. For me it is one of the best games that Rival has in it’s offer.

These symbols are likeable but the graphics of them are not too well-made and I also think it would have been better if the background of reel area wouldn’t be transparent because it has brown colour and seems a little bit dominates the screen taking away the attention from figures in front of it but it’s not a big problem at all, not ruin the appearance so eventually it has a solid view.

5 Pickaxe symbols are the components of the best 5 of a kind line which pays 5000 times of line bet but the second highest paying combination rewards with only x500, so I think there’s a big gap between them. The Pickaxe is also the Wild here but can’t multiply win when it’s replacing. Free spins can be won in numbers of 10, 20 or even 100 while all wins are tripled. As its kind, this feature can be the most awarding part of the game and the added multiplier is really important participant here but I noticed when I got 20 free spins instead of 10 the winning combinations and the Wilds also showed the trend to not appear that frequently as they did in the normal games or even when just 10 extra games were awarded. It’s a totally whimsical feature as sometimes it can be real great and has giving attitude but other times it doesn’t pay back even my total stake. Of course can be said ‘Yes, that’s how a gambling product works but I think it’s better when player can predict with good chance at least the minimum standard count it as some kind of guaranteed prize. No matter how poor getting 20 games comparing it to 10 but I like to have just once such 100 extra spins when I could sit back and my only task would be to count the won credits (or be in rage because they’re not coming).

Anyway, the slot offers a little diamond mining bonus game where we have to choose 3 spots to where to dig and their cumulative credits are multiplied by total stake. In my opinion it’s neither a too exciting, entertaining nor profitable side game so this is really not an overall good extra feature.

Unfortunately, this can be said about the whole game. I don’t feel this slot would have the ability to keep players entertained for long time and doesn’t have that quality of features that could raise the excitement factor so Diamond Downunder is a very mediocre product with limited capability to be a good game.
