Chests of Plenty is a five reel, 20 payline video slot which is nautically themed. Pirate plunder and artifacts grace each reel, with various slot features providing a constant barrage of activity the likes of which would make Long John Silver blush. The prizes live up to the Chests of Plenty theme too, with a dedicated £/$/€20,000 jackpot and 9 diamond progressive there’s plenty of plunder to be won. ...

Why? Well, in order to swell up the jackpot prize, the spins got to swell up with collection money, right? But I guess every experienced player already knows this.
This game plays with the standard 20 paylines and 0.20 starting bet per spin, so you don’t need a big balance to start playing it. The game is actually by Ash Gaming, but I’ve been playing it on a Playtech platform all this while. It has a fairly good paytable, getting 5 Wilds paying 500x the total bet, 5 Pirates paying 100x, but unfortunately, both the Scatter and the Bonus symbols are non-paying. This I don’t like! Not only that, there are no Free Spins games either (argh!), but there are 2 Bonus games instead – the Treasure Chest Bonus and the Treasure Island Bonus. For me personally, I’d rather skip these 2 Bonus games for a Free Spins game, but that’s just my preference of course.
The Jackpot can only be won in the Treasure Chest Bonus game. All you need to get is 9 Diamond symbols from the 3 Chests. Simple right? That’s what the game makes you think, until you start getting different gems appearing from each of those chests! There was a time (some years ago) when I actually got 6 Diamond symbols from the first 2 Chests, needing only that last Chest to draw out 3 more Diamonds, but alas it didn’t, otherwise I would been praising this game instead! Hahaha.
The Treasure Island Bonus game is a boring game, if I may say so. A pirate would be spinning that wheel for the number of moves on the Map, and you win whatever the marker lands on, either a cash win or advance to the next higher level on the Map. Most of the time though, you’d win some lousy cash amount, argh! I don’t know just how much this feature game can pay out at its best, but what I’ve gotten so far are hardly ever more than 20x my bet amount! Yep, disappointing indeed.
I say this because “Chests of Plenty” is a very attractive slot. It is actually only the second AshGaming slot that I play after the “Adventures in Wonderland” slot. “Adventures in Wonderland” is in the top 10 of my preferences, and “Chests of Plenty” also confirms that AshGaming is making good slots. Unfortunately for me as I said, I searched for a long time to find these games in some AshGaming casinos on virtual money and very rarely I found some.
So I said thank you to AskGamblers for offering this slot to be play directly from its page here. Two things pleased me greatly when playing “Chests of Plenty”: the very nice graphics and the fact that in over 300 spins played (in about 6 series) I have not really lost and have nor really win anything. It is very nice to watch how these nice drawn symbols give frequent combinations of 4 or 5 on a payline and bring good payouts in general more than the bet per spin. And here there is something else special: the pirate like aspect, the adventure that accompanies you throughout the game permanently.
The bonus with its 3 chests where one discovers diamonds, emeralds or rubies are quite frequent (about once every 20-30 spins) and each time the total win from this bonus round is about 3.5 Euro. But the “true” Bonus Round is less frequent and you have to play long enough to have part of the adventures of a sailor who discovers on the long forgotten maps, chests riches or multipliers. All these are offered on a kind wheel of fortune (the ship helm) spun of course by a pirate.
At the end I say once again: the nice design blends here with frequent wins that are large enough to definitely play hundreds of good spins full of adventures.
had a little laugh at the pirate shouting “Arggghhh!!” whenever he lands next to the …. Buxom wench who features as the wild symbol! When this happens, the pirate also turns wild, and its possible for this to happen in multiple places on the screen simultaneously if you should be very lucky.
There's a pretty wide selection of features – in the shop the treasure chest scatter symbols start a bonus round which can give access to a “pots” style feature, but this is different in the on-line version and instead you just get random prizes from the chests should you score them, which is much less exciting. What does remain the same though is the bonus map feature – there are several islands you can visit if you get lucky and hit right squares as you move around the board game style map, culminating in a third map labelled something like “Fortune Island” where every prize is pretty much just enormous. Funnily enough though many times when you make it there, you’ll only land a single prize or two before landing on the “exit” square, but often you’ll have already made enough that you won’t be too upset.
All in all this is a really fun game and its nice to see something well made with a nice paytable from a relatively unknown producer (Ash Gaming) – I’d recommend anybody gives this game a try just for a change from the usual stuff that every casino has, if you can find it – Corals have it in the games section of their website, if your interested!

In the background we can see an island with palm trees, skulls in the sand (now we can be sure this is the pirates’ secret lurking-land where hide the stolen treasures) and farther the rocking pirate ship on the see. The symbols are the expected from a sea-wolf game and there are parrot, sword, map, treasure chest and of course pirate among the others. The whole appearance of the game is pleasant, well composed and I’ve got really nothing against it.
The 20-line slot has lot of features that give more chance to win and possesses a great 3 level bonus game where the players can feel themselves as if they’re dropped in a treasure hunting adventure. Three Maps on the reels start the first stage of Treasure Island Bonus, named Booty Island bonus. In this bonus there’s a map and acts like a table game. On its fields there are several rewards like Multipliers (x5-x20 of total bet), Mysterious reward that can be prize, ‘spin again’ or a piece of map award, and Map reward from what we have to collect 3 pieces to go to the next island bonus. The pirate spins the fortune wheel and the marker goes ahead that many positions on the table what the wheel shown. If the wheel spin lands at the skull symbol the bonus game ends. If the original spin in main game pulls out 4 Map symbols the player goes directly to the second stage island bonus, Isle of Plenty and 5 Maps trigger the Jackpot Island bonus. There are no big differences between the 3 bonus levels however the available awards are growing in every stage.
The best part of these bonuses is the fix prize. On the first stage it can be x15-x1000 of total stake, then x50-x1500 and final x300-x2000. I know it sounds complicated but it really isn’t. The other bonus is the Treasure Chest Bonus. If three Treasure chest symbols appear on the first, third and fifth reel this extra session is activated. All chests open up and one after the other reveal 3 gems, if these three treasures are identical the won amount by them added to the total win and the next chest do the same. When a chest has a non-matching trio it closes and the other 2 boxes continue to give prizes. The multipliers of these 3 gems are x5, x2, x1 but this feature also has a minimum (x10 of total bet) and maximum (x100) limits. It’s not a bad bonus and I had some nice rewards but I like the islands bonus much better.
The best paying traditional win in a 5 of a kind line is achievable with wild Pirate Girl (x10000 of line bet) and of course it has also a little extra. If it lands on a reel and the very next (left or right only) position a Pirate figure arrives, it transform the Pirate icon into a Wild for that spin.
Overall, it is a really well-done slot game. I love very much the multi-level bonuses and though I’ve played it for a while but never entered the Jackpot Island feature but playing with it like gathering with good friends and spending the night with playing a table game. The players almost can forget it’s a ‘money game’ and and completely can give themselves to the fun and entertainment. Personally, I rarely see such amusing side game and look forward for the next meeting.
Thumbs up for Ash Gaming for this slot game.

Chests Of Plenty has got plenty of money to give out, but only if you have plenty of money to give first! As for me, I’m heading for the next treasure island already! Hahaha.
So far I have found just one online casino (and I have forgotten which one) to have this slot although I searched many times for it. Perhaps I did not look enough. (The "Adventures in Wonderland" slot I played in a few real casinos not only from its AskGamblers page).
