Aristocrats' Earnings for the Fiscal Year 2020 is Down 47%

Aristocrat saw profit after tax and decrease before amortization by 47% year-on-year to a total of AU$476.6m (US$348.8m) for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2020.

Net sales for the same period was AU$4.14bn, a 6% decline from the previous year, while EBITDA totaled AU$1.09bn, down 32%.

The digital division of the company was the most profitable in the year, delivering 57% of overall sales. The Americas division was its second-highest, with a total revenue of 33%.

As of September 30 Aristocrat is accredited worldwide in 328 jurisdictions in 84 countries. The business hires over 6,000 people, the bulk of which are based in the United States.

It has been able to sustain solid operating traction, amid the uncertainties generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Australian gaming supplier.

From March, the supplier said that due to the pandemic, the introduction of capacity constraints and other social distancing steps, financial results for its land-based company were "materially impacted" by the closing of properties.

Looking ahead, Aristocrat said it is “well placed to maintain a long-term trajectory of high quality, sustainable growth”. The company lauded its liquidity status, low debt and solid balance sheet.
